__________0. THOUGHTS
As most of you know, I've been moving the list "off" of Topica and "onto" my own system. Thanks for putting up with the test and transition emails.
I'm currently using WorldCast (http://www.fairlogic.com/worldcast/index.shtml) from Fairlogic Systems. I've identified some bugs with it, but I think it will be fine for the short term. In the long term it will either get
better or I'll move to a more advanced system like the Gammadyne Mailer (http://gammadyne.com/mmail.htm).
Many of you know that I have a large section on my website devoted to the U-2 Spy Plane (http://www.JamesSHuggins.com/u-2). Recently, I was able to contact Francis Gary Powers, Jr. He has founded the Cold War Museum (http://www.ColdWar.org)
and I've been able to get permission to use photos from his collection on my site. I'm pretty excited about that. I'll be adding those in the next days and alerting you when I do.
__________1. QUOTATIONS
Your company's most valuable asset is how it is known to it's customers.
— Brian Tracy
You don't have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.
— Martin Luther King, Jr. (1929 – 1968)
I am poor and naked, but I am the chief of the nation. We do not want riches but we do want to train our children right. Riches would do us no good. We could not take them with us to the other world. We do not want riches. We want peace and love.
— Red Cloud

__________2. EPHEMERAE
Every day interesting “stuff” crosses my desk. Some isn’t important enough
to put on my site in any permanent way. But it is interesting enough to put
there somehow, quickly, at least for a while.
These are ephemerae: collections of temporary, transitory tidbits.
Today's ephemerae include information about blogs and also about the Codetalkers.
Wired (18.Feb.2002),
"Blah, Blah, Blah and Blog":
An article about blogging . . . writing in web logs. What was the trigger for this article? National Public Radio did a 3 minute story on how blogging is transforming journalism.

Windtalkers - The Story Behind the Movie:
This movie was a severe disappointment. It virtually ignored the code talkers and used them as a pretext for a film. This website provides much additional information. It links to hundreds of primary sources within the web sites of American universities, national archives, official military sites
and Navajo-produced sites. This site was created after a year of careful research, and it has been approved by families of CodeTalkers. The purpose of the story is twofold: To honor the veterans and to address (and provide some answers) to the many questions people will have after they see the film.

All You Should Know About Navajo Code Talkers:
An excellent page with lots of information and photos regarding the Navajo Code Talkers. Great stuff.

__________3. NEW/CHANGED ON MY SITE
Miscellaneous Cat Stuff:
This is a page begun to hold miscellaneous cat stuff. Little snippets that don't fit anywhere else.

Guidelines for Cats:
Ever wonder how cats know what to do? They have guidelines.
