__________1. SNIPPeTS IS BACK, KINDA

After a long vacation, I am returning Snippets. Over the past couple of
months I've received so many requests to be added to the list that I decided
to move the list hosting to Topica.com. I use Topica for several other lists
I manage and like their service and the fact that they are "ad free". The
only "ad" is a single Topica notice line at the very bottom of the email.

The end of each mailing will include complete information on unsubscribing
(or subscribing). Also, it will now be possible to view prior issues on the
web.

As before, Snippets will be "irregular". My goal is at least once a week and
never more than once a day.

If you have anything to suggest, feel free. Just drop me an email.

So why do I say "kinda". Two reasons. First, it was never really gone. Being
an irregular journal means not having a schedule so even if I don't publish
for months, it isn't off schedule. It is one of the big advantages of not
having a schedule. Second, even though I'll be publishing "more frequently",
I'm still not sure what "more frequently" means. Don't expect that "being
back" means any new schedule. Snippets is still an irregular journal.

__________2. NEW SNIPPeTS PROCEDUReS

The move to Topica means it isn't necessary to write me to subscribe or
unsubscribe. Each issue of Snippets will include this information as a
"footer", but I thought it appropriate to highlight it with this "return"
issue.
