Don't Spy On UsThis page supports the DontSpyOn.Us site and cause. The DontSpyOn.Us site was created to protest the Department of Homeland Security's plan to keep a dossier on everyone who ever flies on a commercial airplane in the United States. It was created by Bill Scannell (bill@scannell.org), the same man who created BoycottDelta.com Liberty and SafetyThere are those who believe that giving up liberty and freedom will somehow help secure safety. There are those who believe that the only people who need to care about privacy are those who have something to hide. I am not one of those. I believe in privacy as a right, as the right to be left alone. That is why, when I encountered the Boycott Delta website and read about it in the media I immediately knew that I must, at the very least, work to promote it. I created a support page. And, I created the Boycott Delta Webring. I wrote Delta to express, in the most polite words I could, that I was "not pleased". And, I decided to do whatever it takes to avoid flying on Delta. Later when Bill Scannell created the Don't Spy On Us site, I knew I'd have to support that page as well. The the Don't Spy On Us site explains it all very well, so rather than rehash all the issues here, I'll just refer you there. And, I'll encourage you to do whatever you can do to help (e.g., join my webring, add links on your website, write a letter, tell your friends, discuss it on your lists, etc.) The United States of America is wealthy. If we permit terrorism to steal that, we have lost.
