Boycott Delta
There are those who believe that giving up liberty and freedom will somehow help secure safety.
There are those who believe that the only people who need to care about privacy are those who have something to hide.
I am not one of those.
I believe in privacy as a right, as the right to be left alone.
That is why, when I encountered the Boycott Delta website and read about it in the media I immediately knew that I must, at the very least, work to promote it.
I created this page.
I created the Boycott Delta Webring.
I wrote Delta to express, in the most polite words I could, that I was "not pleased".
And, I decided to do whatever it takes to avoid flying on Delta.
The Boycott Delta website explains it all very well, so rather than rehash all the issues here, I'll just refer you there.
And, I'll encourage you to do whatever you can do to help (e.g., join my webring, add links on your website, write a letter, tell your friends, discuss it on your lists, etc.)
The United States of America is wealthy.
We have many material things which the rest of the world does not.
But our singular most precious possession is our freedom, our liberty,
our ability to be, as individuals, free and independent beings.
If we permit terrorism to steal that, we have lost.
If we trade our precious liberty for a little more safety,
the terrorists have won.
