I belong to some professional organizations. They require money, and dues. They have meetings and officers. Real organizations. Real memberships.

I belong to some honorary organizations as well. Some require money and dues. Some do not. They are also real organizations with real memberships.

I also support many "causes". To be sure, some call people like me "members" but some are just loose federations of websites posting supporting buttons and banners.

I have also joined some other groups (again, some call it membership) because it helps to promote my site. The most typical way is that "membership" gets me listed in a directory.

And there are some organizations, that . . . well . . . let's just say that life is too important to take seriously.

Once upon a time, when I began this website, all of these fit onto one page. Then, over time they fit onto one, gigantic, huge page.

eventually, I decided that I needed to divide them into multiple pages.
