herplanet.com --- member

herplanet.com

herplanet.com is a website that "is all about women helping women".

So, why would I join a site like that. Several reasons: First, I like women and I am single. Second, women like my website. (I've been told it is woman-friendly.) Third, women hire professional speakers. Fourth, I looked and saw no other men in the directory and I've always been a bit of a maverick.

And, guess what!!  As a result of my "application" they created a brand new section in the directory: Women Friendly Sites. And I (me!) am the first listing.

Alumni.net --- Bringing School Friends Together

Alumni.net

Although a commercial enterprise, Alumni.net provides a free site for individuals to register as an alumnus of their college or high school and to locate other alumni of their school.

I am registered and I like to encourage others to register and for them, in turn, to encourage others to register, so that more of us can find our long lost friends.

PSP Interactive Zone

The PSP Interactigve Zone seeks to provide a long term, self-supporting, self-governing, Internet based environment in which artists, crafters and graphic enthusiasts can: learn, teach, experience, research, share, and discuss their thoughts, ideas and creativity, in an effort to make the web a more beautiful place to visit. It works through friendship, encouragement as well as formal study methods to explore programs, primarily "Paint Shop Pro" to their limits, so that each may become more informed and inspired to fully understand the capabilities of the program.

Hugs and Hope Club

Hugs and Hope Club

Marsha Jordan believes that children shouldn't have to suffer. But many children do suffer. Many children are very sick. And many children are so sick, that they are dying. Marsha is a grandmother disabled by an auto-immune disease that left her blind. Her illness enables her to empathize with others who suffer. Today, club members send "happy mail" across the country cheering sick and injured children. Their motto is "We send hugs and smiles across the miles." In April 2002, the club has more than 500 partners sending that "happy mail".

Anti Virus Coalition

Anti Virus Coalition

A loose collection of people opposed to viruses. I have no real idea what benefit, if any, this group presents the net in general, except, perhaps, a declaration that we "oppose" viruses.     Membership List with my site listed and a link back to my site.

Learning Fountain

Learning Fountain

The Learning Fountain program is both an award and also a statement of the way a website "does business". I received this award in Feb 2002 (see my Award Page). There are six requirements for Learning Fountains: (1) Fast Loading; (2) Visitor Centric; (3) Learning Catalyst; (4) Focused; (5) Thorough; (6) Transaction enabling.

Paint Shop Pro Users Group

"The goal of the Paint Shop Pro Users Group is to share the joy of creativity. We believe we can learn and grow as individuals by giving freely of our time and talents. We are dedicated to providing educational and creative guidance to anyone with a love of art and creativity. By helping others we help ourselves."
